Family holidays
The Val di Fassa is a true paradise for children! Both in summer and in winter it offers sports, cultural and leisure activities for the whole family.
Families will find a wide range of services dedicated to them at Hotel Jan Maria of Canazei. We have triple rooms for families of 3 and quadruple, quintuple and family rooms (2 interconnecting rooms) for families of 4 or 5.
The hotel is located in a quiet and sunny area, away from traffic which allows our little guests to safely play outside. In winter they can build snowmen in the meadow and in summer they can play in our fully equipped garden with slide, swing and ride-on toys.
Children can also take advantage of the Jacuzzi in the Wellness Centre, if accompanied by at least one adult. The kitchen is attentive to the needs and requests of the little guests, who will always be satisfied with their favourite dishes. For children we have beds with safety guards, high chairs and a baby bath.
In the triple, quadruple and quintuple rooms, reduced rates will be applied: 50% from 3 to 11 years; 20% from 12 to 14 years.
In the family rooms (2 interconnecting rooms), reduced rates will be applied: 20% from 3 to 11 years; 10% from 12 to 14 years.
In summer, every village in the Val di Fassa has a playground for children, with games and wooden structures along with colourful bouncy castles or inflatable slides. There are also adventure parks for the enjoyment of young and old; climbing gyms, minigolf, horse riding, ice skating at the Ice Stadium in Canazei. The Dolaondes Aquatic Centre features various swimming pools, including one for children with a slide. Our little guests can also take part in Fassalandia, a programme of initiatives promoted by the Tourist Board which includes:
- Approach to climbing (from 7 to 14 years)
- Guided excursions to the Alpine huts
- Mineral introduction workshop
- Theatrical and puppet shows
- Entertainment and picnic in the Valle’s playgrounds, organized by the various Events Committees
- Shows and visits organised by the Ladin de Fascia Museum
In winter, every Ski Area of the Valley has fully-equipped school camps for children, baby slopes, nursery (fully-equipped playgrounds equipped in the snow) with entertainment and assistance service. While specialized ski instructors and entertainers will take care of the little guests, parents can enjoy a day of skiing or relaxation. Children can choose between different winter activities:
- Alpine skiing
- Snowboarding
- Skating
- Cross-country skiing
- Slopes with sleds, bobsleighs, dinghies
- Swimming in the Dolaondes Aquatic Centre
